Do you find you have corners of your home that are cluttered? Piles of 'stuff' that don't belong?
The reason..... not all of your items have a place to live.
Decluttering is just one element of an organised home, maintaining that organisation is another & to be able to do so ALL items need a dedicated space to live.
If everything has its own home you have a system, when you have a system it's easy to reset your home at the end of the day.
Now, you may be looking at a pile of clutter right now & thinking you have no idea where those particular items should live. Firstly, ask yourself do you actually need, want, use or even like those items. DECLUTTER.
Create a space for everything to live, group like with like, so for example, don't have craft items in separate areas around the house, keep them together in the same place, the same applies to paperwork, keep it together in some sort of filing system, all in the same place & declutter regularly.. this is key.
Shoes, books, hobby items, keep in their own dedicated spaces.
Use labels for places, this really helps to be able to involve your family or other members of your household when it comes to tidying up..... absolutely no excuses!
Declutter, organise, introduce systems, maintain.
By decluttering each space on a regular basis you will keep the clutter from building, this is a really important part of maintaining an organised home & life.
